Sixty Minutes LongA basketball game is sixty minutes long. Or at least it would be minus penalties and out-of-bounds whistles and commercials. For ten or twelve people, those sixty minutes can mean a lot – starting positions or even minutes on the court in the next game, maybe the opportunity to get that one extra chance at a dunk that’ll make the highlight reels on all the major networks. Every second on the clock is crucial to the players, whose multimillion dollar contracts necessitate performance, and to the coaches, who have a similar personal interest in winning.
